Aaaand here goes my first business trip to Paris 🇫🇷
Biggest learning: the French market is HOT on prevention right now.
In parallel to optimising medical claims to create savings, the French government is focused on improving the quality of the public healthcare system, long-term.
This includes a €17 billion initiative on smart sick leave management - helping companies understand what drives this, teaching them how to communicate with their employees on leave and making sure that the work environment doesn't contribute to that.
One of the undertakings will be: French Health Authorities visiting a 1000 enterprises with the highest sickness rate in person! This is what I call a truly "hands-on" approach... Hopefully in some of them, they will see first signs of improvement, and a HealthCaters HealthCheck Station 💜
I also went to see my old friends from Plug and Play Tech Center who drive corporate innovations in France - thank you team for the warm welcome and insightful discussions, and especially to you Arthur Bessières 🫶. From our first meeting in Munich to now presenting to your team in Paris 2 years later, you're as excited to test your blood pressure like it was the first time 😁
And as always, pleasure to see Marc Hotton - amazing to know wherever there's healthcare innovation, you are there, too!
PS: Super enjoyed a networking evening at the Seine - the Digital Health Boat - by Heal Capital and Kurma Partners. Sweet to have met Marta Mrozowicz and Benjamin Belot again :)
